After about four years of closure, what used to be the George Inn in Winterton, North Lincolnshire re-opened in November 2010 as The George Hogg.

The pub underwent a complete makeover and was restored to what a traditional English pub should be with real fires and plenty of seating!

Teas and coffees are available throughout the day as are home made meals, pastries and teacakes etc.

As well as a dining area downstairs there is an intimate upstairs restaurant if you prefer.

The George Hogg is now privately owned by Jackie & Dave, and they will make you welcome and are happy to listen to your ideas and suggestions to make the pub and restaurant what you would like it to be.

The food is all home made on the premises, not just home cooked or reheated. There is a selection of speciality cask beers, guest beers and freshly made coffee from an espresso machine. (CAMRA were particularly complimentary and gave the pub an excellent write-up)

Jackie & Dave look forward to welcoming you soon.

The George Hogg now.

The George Inn before it closed.

With our experienced and highly commended chef we have returned to the high standards set before the George closed. We offer a combination of real restaurant fare and home made bar food.

As a traditional Pub Restaurant we have no games machines, we do however have quiz nights each week, an active darts team and regular events throughout the year featuring local entertainers.

The pub is once again helping the Market Place become the focal point of the village.

Note that we now accept the majority of credit and debit cards.
